NPFL: Adamawa thrash Katsina 4-0, Pillars hold Plateau

NPFL new entrants Adamawa United were the biggest winners in the match day 6 of the NPFL as they thrashed Katsina United 4-0 while current league leaders Plateau United failed to increase their lead at the top of the table after they were held to a goalless draw by Kano Pillars.

Pillars welcomed back captain Rabiu Ali from a long-term ban for gross misconduct and that must have boosted their confidence in Jos as they frustrated hosts Plateau United from another home win.
The Jos club now have 14 points from six matches, while Pillars climbed to third from bottom with three points from five matches.

Wikki Tourists, Akwa Starlets and Sunshine Stars all won at home.
There was also a shock win on the road for Delta Force at struggling Nasarawa United.
Solomon Enudi’s 34th minute goal from a free kick was the difference between the two teams in Lafia.

Results:
Wikki 1-0 Heartland
Sunshine 1-0 Akwa United
Akwa Starlets 1-0 Warri Wolves
Plateau 0-0 Kano Pillars
Rivers United 0-0 Abia Warriors
Nasarawa Utd 0-1 Delta Force
