High-riding Akwa United Football Club of Uyo on Sunday recorded a lone goal victory over Heartland FC of Owerri at the Nest of champions in Uyo.
The victory in the Nigeria Professional Football League Day 12 match came barely a week after the team had beaten the Owerri giant on their home soil last week by 2-1.
The victory had catapulted the Promise Keepers to the league leaders in Group B.
In another encounter, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri recorded away victory over Gombe United .Both sides had settled for a scoreless draw last weekend in Maiduguri .
