NPFL: Iorfa sacks TM, recalls 3 other Lobi stars staff

The Vice Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of Lobi Stars FC Dominic Iorfa has recalled three out of the 40 staff of the club that were dissolved.

The Vice Chairman also terminated the appointment of the Team Manager, Gabriel Ogwuche for failing to attend the meeting convened by management of the club and failure to sign acceptance letter for the appointment offered to him by the club.

Iorfa took the decision during a meeting he held with staff of the club on Monday at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.

The three staff that were recalled were  Moses Uvoughor, Femi Olaaluko and James Jato.

It was learnt that Uvoughor and Olaaluko were Assistant Coaches while Jato was an Assistant Security Officer of the club.

The vice chairman of the club said that all staff of the club that failed to attend the meeting and present their appointment letters for sighting were no longer staff of the club.

He lamented that some former staff of the club who had been paid their salaries up-to-date were blackmailing him that he was owing them six months salaries.

He further said that the staff had even staged a protest at the gate of Government House protesting non payment of six month salaries.

He said that the Team Manager, Gabriel Ogwuche, did not sign his acceptance letter, stressing that for failing to sign his acceptance letter it then means that he was not a staff of the club.

According to him, Ogwuche would return the money he had collected for 10 months as salary to the coffers of the club.
