NPFL: Jigawa Golden Stars adopt Kaduna as home ground

Nigeria Professional Football League entrance Jigawa Golden Stars FC of Dutse have chosen the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna for their home games for the upcoming 2019/20 NPFL season.

Speaking after the management meeting at the club office, Jigawa State director of Sports Honourable Usman Garba Labbo disclosed that the reason behind the decision is to meet the League Management Company rules and regulations of the NPFL.

“After much deliberations, we have decided to play our home games in Kaduna ( Ahmadu Bello Stadium)”

“The decision is to meet up with the League Management Company rules and regulations, because according to what they send to us via the club’s email. Each stadium must have a good standard pitch, a well-sitting space for fans to watch our games because they might inform us that our home games will be live on television”

“Also, we have to follow the rules are guiding the game because the Confederation of African Football has rules because that is the body guiding the game in Africa.”

“We did not come up with this decision, we are following the rules guiding the game and we have to follow it” He concluded.

Jigawa Golden Stars secured one of the promotional slots after beating hard-fighting NAF Rockets FC of Abuja in one of the Nigeria National League 2018/19 playoffs in Makurdi late July.
