NPFL: Lobi Stars battle ready for Super 6 – Iorfa

Vice Chairman/CEO of Lobi Stars FC Dominic Iorfa has said his team is battle ready to achieve the dream of picking the  CAF continental ticket.

Iorfa briefing with newsmen in Makurdi Wednesday noted that the position of the club from the beginning of the season was not to be relegated and to finish top 3, in the abridged NPFL, which it achieved.

According to Iorfa, nobody was concerned  about Federation Cup, however, the team found itself there which was a bonus, especially considering that since 2015, Lobi Stars had never  reached the quarter final stage until the recent outing.

“We should be grateful we got there. It was a thing of joy we should be grateful and move on, Nobody should wear  any sad face that we were out of the FA Cup. Football is in 3 ways, win, draw and lose, so far Lobi Stars is involved in every competition that is going to take place in Nigeria from now on till the 2023/2024 season starts.

“Our prayers now should be directed towards NPFL Super 6 coming up this Saturday in Lagos so we are good to go.”

Speaking alleged plans to to replace him, Iorfa said, Football is result oriented and what the new government need is  results.

“The result we have gotten are not bad and some of my colleagues elsewhere are even envious.

“The truth is that if someone has passion for something you do it with all your heart.

“I love football, I am not the best but I have passion for football and I always go for results.

“The result we have gotten are not bad and some of my colleagues elsewhere are even envious, that Lobi Stars is now participating in all competitions.  The team as is today is rated one in the top 2 teams in the Northern part of Nigeria,” he added.
