NPFL: Plateau Utd stay top as Lobi, Wikki close up

Plateau United have maintained their lead on top of the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL at the end of week 4 matches.
They now have 10 points from four matches and remain undefeated and are closely followed by Lobi Stars and Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi won at home at the midweek fixtures.


Lobi Stars swept past Heartland 3-0, while Wikki Tourists stopped Delta Force 3-1.


Both teams have recorded nine points apiece, a point behind the table toppers.
The woes of troubled Kano Pillars continued after they fell by the odd goal at local rivals Jigawa Golden Stars, who have now moved clear of the league basement.
Coach Ibrahim A.Musa has already been handed a three-match ultimatum after the home loss to Lobi Stars at the weekend.
Katsina United snatched a valuable point on the road after they held Akwa United to a goalless draw in Uyo.


Akwa United skipper Mfon Udoh lost a penalty in the second half.
