NPFL: With 9 goals, Mfon Udoh maintains lead

Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh has continued to lead in the goals race in the NPFL with nine goals after 18 rounds of matches.

Udoh was also Goal King in 2004, when he fired 23 goals for Enyimba to emerge as the all-time top scorer in the league.

His nine goals have already earned him 1.8 million Naira in the Eunisell Boot contest as each goal amounts to 200,000 Naira.

His tally has included four goals away from home.

However, Mfon Udoh will have to continue to score goals as Ibrahim Sanusi (Nasarawa United), Rabiu Ali (Kano Pillars), Abba Umar (Wikki Tourists) and Philip Auta (Yobe Desert Stars) have scored seven goals each thus far.

There is also a crowd of players including Tasiu Lawal (Katsina United) and Godwin Aguda (Enugu Rangers) who have netted six goals so far.
