NSCDC arrest 4 suspects in Fulani rival groups clash -Oyo Commandant

Four suspects are now in the net of the Oyo state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in connection with the clash between two rival Fulani groups.

According to the Oyo state NSCDC, Corps Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya, the four suspects were arrested by the Agro Rangers squad in Ogbomoso after a distress call was made by the Chairman Ogbomoso Meyatti Allah, Alhaji Mahmud Muhammed for intervention in a serious fight at Ayanyan Kara market Ogbomoso between the Fulani groups.

Sources said the clash which was between the family of Alhaji Mumuni of Alata Village Ogbomoso North and Mr Daka Adamu of Idi Igba Village Ogbomoso North started last Saturday 15th May,2021 at Okonjo area Ogbomoso North where two member of Daka family reportedly sustained injury.

It was alleged that the Daka family reportedly invited their relatives from Gambari in Surulere Local Government area of Oyo state for reprisal attack on Wednesday.
Following the distress call, men of the Agro Rangers squad of the NSCDC stormed the area ,doused the tension and arrested 4 suspects in connection with the incident

Oyo NSCDC Commandant identified the arrested suspects as Isiaka Abdulmumini male, 25yrs, Adamu Musa, male, 65yrs, Saliu Yusuf male, 20yrs and Muhammed Abdullahi male, 18yrs.

Corps Commandant Akinsanya added that during the clash, four persons, Umaru Mumini male, 45yrs,of Alata Village, Isiaka Usman male,30yrs, from Gambari Oloya Village, Muhammadu Jamiu male,25yrs, of Alata Village and Hassan Yakubu male, 40yrs of Erita Village sustained various degree of injury.

He stressed that the injured four persons rescued by the Agro Rangers have been taken to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso for treatment.

He listed items recovered from the suspects to includes 3 Matchet, 1 stick, 3 Techno phone and a sum of N34,700 (Thirty four thousand seven hundred naira only.
