NSCDC arrests 4 vandals, impound 6 tankers in Delta

Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Wednesday arrested four suspected pipeline vandals and impounded six trankers loaded with stolen illegally refined petroleum products suspected to be automated gasoline oil (AGO) was impounded.

The command public relations officer (PPRO), DSC Emeka Peters Okwechime said men of the commandant General special Squad bursted a loading point at Odorubu waterside in Patani local government area of the state.

PRO said acted on a credible intelligence information saying that upon citing the men of the CGSIS, the vandals used a 120liters capacity tanker to barricade the only road leading to the illegal loading point to prevent men of the NSCDC gaining access to the illegal loading point. 

Accoding to him, “in a determined efforts to gain access into the loading point, men of the C.G.S.I.S, engaged the services of about 6 truck drivers, 2 auto electricians and a tow truck, which towed away the heavily loaded 120liters capacity truck used by the crude oil thieves to barricade the road leading to illegal loading point. 

Also in a related development, barely 24hours of arrival, men of the CGSIS have arrested 4 suspects in Warri with a toyota camry blue with Registration Number BMA 786 TN And a Toyota sienna with Registration Number KSF 107 CD Both of them were loaded with illegally refined petroleum product suspected to be AGO concealed in a 25liter polythene sacks numbering about 300 sacks.

The name of the suspects are Clement Mike (M) 34years, Tobore Morgan (M) 39years, others are Jeff Oluchi (M) 29years at large and Chinwe Ikpeamachukwu (F) 40years. 

The suspects are currently undergoing investigation and will be charged to court accordingly to serve as deterrent to others.
