NSCDC arrests 5 suspected criminals in Taraba

The Taraba state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Wednesday paraded five suspended criminals for attempting to murder one Samaila in Kona,  in Jalingo local government area of the state.

Briefing journalist in Jalingo, the state commandant of NSCDC, Mr Musa Aliyu said on the 13th of January, personals of the command through its intelligence apprehended five suspects in connection with attempted murder.

He added that the command charged the suspects to court due to undue pressure coming from the relative of the suspects.

He stated  that the suspects confessed to have committed the crime, adding that the command was on the trail of other fleeing suspects and their accomplices.

He said  that the victim, Samaila was taken to the federal medical center, Jalingo for treatment.

A resident of Kona, Kini Nomiri who spoke to Blueprint said  the suspects were arrested the victim escaped with deep injury.

She stressed that a cry for help by the victim, Samaila attracted the attention of residents in the area that served him.
