NSE: Bulls return as equity market gains N82bn

Trading activities on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday took upward trend, gaining N82 billion. Market Capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.81 per cent to N10.239 trillion from N10.157 trillion traded the previous day.
Also the NSE All Share Index surged by 237.67 basis points to 29812.91 points from 29575.24 points recorded on Tuesday.

Investors traded 305.813 million shares worth N2.856 billion in 4640 deals against 255.254 million shares valued at N3.303 billion in 4812 deals. A review of the transactions showed that Forte Oil led gainers table growing by N3.03 kobo to close at N194.03 kobo, Julius Berger followed with a gain of N2.42 kobo to close at N50.93 kobo, 7Up Bottling Company gained N2.00 to close at N142.00, Dangote Cement appreciated by N1.89 kobo to close at N194.00 and Guaranty Trust Bank gained N0.93 kobo to close at N23.25 kobo.

On the contrary, Ashaka cement topped losers chart, dropping by N1.05 kobo to closee at N19.95 kobo, Champion Breweries trailed with a loss of N0.23 kobo to close at N4.46 kobo, UAC0Property fell by N0.22 kobo to close at N4.28 kobo, ETI dropped by N0.19 kobo to close at N16.51 kobo and Fidson Healthcares declined by N0.17 kobo to close at N2.27 kobo.
Further analysis indicated that Transnational Corporation of Nigeria recorded the highest volume of activities, trading with 52.972 million shares worth N94.560 million.
