NSE: Nestle leads losers table

Nestle Nigeria Plc yesterday recorded the highest loss  at the nation’s stock market, dropping by N35.10 kobo to close at N1149.00.  Okomu Oil Palm trailed with a loss of N3.88 kobo to close at N36.02 kobo while Mrs Oil fell by N2.72 kobo to close at N51.72 kobo. Other stocks that recorded price depreciation were GTBank and NASCON loss N0.21 kobo and N0.16 kobo respectively to close at N27.20 kobo and N11.55 kobo.

LarfargeWapco on the contrary,  led the gainers table during the day, enhancing by N4.01 kobo to close at N110.01, Stanbic IBTC followed with a gain of N1.01 kobo to close at N21.36 kobo, Mobil Oil Plc gained N1.00 to close at N123.00 while Cap Plc and Access Bank appreciated by  N0.40 kobo and N0.39 kobo respectively to close at N40.00 and N8.26 kobo.
The result showed that  the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) All Share Index rose by 27.01 basis points to 39325.98 points from 39298.97 points traded previously while market capitalisation went down from N12.937 trillion traded the previous day to N12.932 trillion.

The result further showed that United Bank for Africa (UBA) was the most active stock during the day in volume terms, trading 562.269 million shares worth N3.877 billion, UBA Capital followed with account of 72.498 million shares valued at N189.090 million while FBN Holdings traded 21.841 million shares cost N267.161 million. Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) exchanged 16.543 million shares valued at N63.522 million and Zenith International Bank sold 12.727 million shares cost N280.175 million.
In all investors bought 788.734 million shares worth N5.695 billion in 4385 deals against 276.737 million shares valued at N3.6 billion exchanged the previous day in 4859 deals.
