NSFA: Dada assures of more devt support in Niger



Minna-based football Philanthropist and founder of Ibro Dada Sports Synergy, Engr. Ibrahim Dada Maikunkele, has assured Niger State Football Association (NSFA) of his continued support in developing football in the state.

Engr. Dada gave this assurance at the closing ceremony of the 2020/2021 Niger State Super League on Saturday, at the late Bako Kontagora Stadium Minna, after receiving an award of excellence from the state football association, for his immense contribution to the development of the round leather game in the state.

He said the height he had attained in football circle in Nigeria would not have been possible without the support of the state FA.

“Without the support of Niger state football association, I would not have been where I am today. The state FA has supported us greatly to be figures in football circle today, so we have to pay back by supporting the growth of the game. We will continue to do our best to take football in Niger state to a greater height,” said the FIFA Licensed agent.

Engr. Dada who dedicated his award to the two finalist of the state Super League said grassroot football is moving forward in the state and that some states were now copying from what Niger state football stakeholders are doing to grow the game.

Niger state football association under the leadership of Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh said Engr. Ibrahim Dada has done so much for the development of football in the state, hence the recognition by the state FA.

According the state FA, the 45-year old sports philanthropist has sponsored so many clubs in the state to participate in various championship within and outside the state and had supported the state FA to organise some of its competitions.

Engr. Dada who is the founder of Ibro Dada Sports Synergy, a sport promoting firm base in Niger state, is a FIFA Licensed player agent and immediate past Chairman of Niger Tornadoes Fc.

He is also the sole sponsor of the prestigious Niger State Nationwide League One Clubs preseason tournament which is in its seventh edition at the moment.

The President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Niger State, Comrade Idris Abdulkareem Lafene, was also recognised by the state FA for his contribution to the development of grassroots football in the state.
