NSUBEB staff warned against second wave of COVID – 19


The Nasarawa state Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) staff, Monday, warned on second wave of covid -19 and its spread.
The executive chairman of the board, Hon. Muhammad Musa Dan’azimi, gave the warning while addressing staff at the board headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
The chairman who spoke through the board secretary, Hajiya Hashiya Ahmed, drew the attention of the board members on the challenges posed by the covid – 19 pandemic, stressing the need to adhere to all preventive measures such as maintenance of social distancing, wearing of face masks, regular hand sanitiser, among others.


He enjoined parents and guardians to give maximum support to their children/ wards to participate on the state own media radio/ tv to watch and listen to e- teaching of various core subjects during the second wave of covid – 19.


Dan’azimi equally assured parents and guardians that the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule has vowed to lift the standard of education in the state.
He emphasised that all staff who will be at work were strongly advised to limit the number of visitors they receive to the barest minimum and to wear their face masks during office hours.


“This is to reduce physical contact by much as possible and remember only the living can work or worship and prevention is better than cure,” he said.
