A group of Concerned Nsukka Indigenes wants the caretaker committee chairman of Nsukka Local government area Chinwe Ugwu to be probed to determine her role in the recent unrest recorded in Nsukka.
In a petition to governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi made available to Everyday News the group expressed reservation with her recent “show off” which they allege is geard towards capitalizing on the situation to be retained as chairman.
The statement signed by one Uwakwe Eze warned that they cannot allow power drunk politicians to destroy Nsukka LGA
Hear them: Her first attempt backfired when she shared second hand wheel barrows to some Nsukka people on hire purchase.
“It was a show of shame which received wide condemnation in both regular and social media.
“In her quest for power, she has folded her hands and watched series of protests in Nsukka and the burning of PDP party office yet as the chief security officer she has not done anything to check the raging storm rather she has carried on with quick eye-service to impress.
“This is not her first as chairman but she has suddenly remembered to share IGR to wards. who is fooling who?
“People have carried mock coffin, aspirants have been attacked yet our holy chairman has not said a word rather she has continued chasing shadows.
“What is happening in Nsukka is strange and some people are acting as though they prepared the script.
“We are concerned and we want to know the role of Chinwe Ugwu in the Nsukka disturbances.”
