NUC engages experts on academic publishing

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has assembled experts to address the reason why most academic works from Nigerian universities find it difficult to attract publication in renowned international journals.
The workshop which was titled, ‘Academic Publishing for Junior and Mid-Career Academics’ was declared open by NUC’s executive secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, in Abuja.
Prof. Rasheed said the need to acquire requisite knowledge, skills and confidence to increase the quantum of academic papers published by Nigerian academics in high impact journals globally informed the week-long seminar attended by academic staff drawn from public and private universities in the country.
