NWPFL: Rivers Angels target Bayelsa

League leaders, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, will this weekend strive to consolidate on their lead, as they trade tackles with Bayelsa Queens of Yenegoa. And considering the fact that the Yenegoa Queens are finding the stormy waters of the Premier League difficult to weather, it may be a field day for the Maltida Otuene-led girls.
Osun Babes would host Edo Queens in Osogbo. The Aregbe Girls who are having it nice at home, may also pocket the maximum points at the end of the day. Same would be the case in Akure where Sunshine Queens will face FC Taraba Queens. The Mimiko Girls will not spare anything to take the coach Morufu Adeyemo-tutored girls to the cleaners. But they would be in for a surprise if the youthful Taraba girls are allowed to find their bearings early in the game.

The grass at the Lafia Township Stadium will surely suffer during the 90 minutes of hostilities in the cracker between Nasarawa Amazons and Confluence Queens of Lokoja. Parading the likes of Dauda Happiness, Margret Dike, Hauwa Abdullahi, Aju Francis, Chinasa Godwin and pint-sized Racheal Akpojofor, the Captain Idris Wada-flown Babes will be in for a tough match.
Another cracker would be at the U.J. Eusene Stadium in Calabar where home girls, Pelican Stars, will try to redeem themselves against their sister team, Ibom Angels.
In Calabar this weekend, Ibom would unleash the likes of Precious Dede, Vera Idoko, Edith Eduviere, Osuruma ibinovia, Mfreke Ikpe on their hosts. The outcome of the game would surely have an effect on the standings of both teams on the log. The last battle would be between Adamawa Queens and Delta Queens.
