Nyako, Atiku clash over Adamawa APC congress

As the soul of All Progressives Congress (APC,) Adamawa state is set to be determined today, given the state congress of the party to elect State Working Committee (SWC),a fierce political battle has started as Governor Murtala Nyako’s camp and that of the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were desperately wooing the delegates.

Reports said some of the delegates were addressed by principal stakeholders aligned to the camp of Nyako at Government House, Yola, while those of Atiku were being wooed at Dantsoho’s Hotel also in Yola.
While Nyako’s camp was said to have photocopied and given the list of its candidates to the delegates, and advised them to keep to faith, with a female tipped as chairmanship candidate, Atiku’s camp is tipping the former running mate of the ACN governorship candidate, Engr. Marcus Gundiri.

Nyako’s camp is fielding a three-time House of Representatives member, Mrs Binta Masi Garba.
Prior to the defection of Marwa’s and Gundiri’s camps to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP,) there were four camps, with each claiming to control the soul of the APC in Adamawa state.
