NYSC deploys 2,000 corps members to Gombe

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 2,000 corps members for batch ‘B’ 2018 to Gombe state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state head of Public Relations, Ms. Margaret Dakama and made available to newsmen yesterday.

The statement read in part: “In Gombe state, about 2,000 prospective corps members are expected to report at the temporary Orientation Camp, Science Technical College Amada, KM21 Gombe-Bauchi Highway, for the orientation exercise.”

Ms Dakama said it was in continuation of the aim of mobilizing and grooming graduate youths for the purpose of National unity, sustainable development and to fully equip them for leadership and self-reliance.

According to her, the orientation is scheduled to hold from Tuesday July, 24 to Monday August, 13, 2018. “Please note, prospective corps members are expected to report to camp on time, as registration and verification will end midnight of Wednesday, July 25, 2018,”

She further solicits the support and cooperation of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers and peoples in the state to extend their usual hospitality to the corps members and direct them to the venue of the orientation course.
