Oba of Benin appoints Iguobaro spokesman

The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, has appointed Mr. Osaigbovo Iguobaro as his chief press secretary.

Iguobaro’s appointment was contained in a circular dated August 8, 2022, and signed by Mr. Frank Irabor, secretary of Benin Traditional Council (BTC).

Until his appointment, Iguobaro was the secretary, Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo state council.

Meanwhile, the chapel has congratulated Mr.  Iguobaro on his appointment.

In a statement issued by the chapel chairman, Mrs Nefishetu Yakubu, the chapel also thanked  the royal father for “finding one of our own worthy of the appointment.”

Yakubu said, “I know you have worked hard to reach this point, and I am so pleased that you have been recognised for your accomplishment during your over two decades of journalism.”
