Obaseki, no more ‘godfatherism’ alibi

Governor Godwin Obaseki has been inaugurated as governor of Edo state for another four-year term. Obaseki fought his political godfather, Adams Oshiomhole, to become governor of the state.

Now that Obaseki has defeated godfatherism, there is no more excuse why he must not deliver on his campaign promises.

He could blame his first term non-performance term on godfatherism factor but all such alibi is no more.

Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, have all the opportunity to deliver their campaign promises to the people of Edo state.

Politics is over; it is time for real business of governance in Edo state. Our expectations are very high and you must not “fall our hands”.
