Obaseki, PFN leader for Edo Correspondents’ Chapel lecture

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Edo state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has concluded plans to host a monthly public lecture series billed for Monday, next week.
In a statement, Acting Chairperson of the Chapel, Mrs. Nefishetu Yakubu, who is a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent, said the first in the series of the Public Lectures has as its topic: “Sustainable Agriculture as a Panacea for the Herdsmen Attack on Arable Crop Farmers in Nigeria.”
Yakubu also said the event would have the Governor of Edo stare, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, as Special Guest of Honour.
She stated that other Guests of Honour are Dr Felix Omobhude, who is the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Alhaji Abdufatah Enabulele, the Chief Imam of Benin Central Mosque.
She said Dr. Agharese Osifo, a lecturer with the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, while the Chairman of the occasion is Mr. Owere Dickson Imasogie, a renowned farmer and industrialist.
Meanwhile the acting Secretary of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Mr. Osaigbovo Iguobaro of the People’s Daily has said that “all farmers, women, youths and other stakeholders concerned about food security in Nigeria can also attend the event.”
