Obaseki support group welcomes APC reconciliation panel

The Obaseki/Shaibu Movement (OSM) has commended President Muhammadu for setting up the reconciliation Committee led by Chief Bisi Akande to  reconcile aggrieved persons  in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was just as the group  also passed a vote  of confidence on Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Phillip Shaibu, adding that their re-election is not negotiable “despite the increasingly hostility in the state chapter of the party”.

The group in  a Communique  read by the State Commissioner for Youths and Special Duties, Damian Lawani, expressed hope that “the wisdom and leadership style of President Muhammadu Buhari would be applied in the conduct of the forthcoming general election in the State.

According to him, “OSM believes strongly in the leadership of governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Rt Hon. Philip Shaibu in Edo and because they have performed creditably well, their second term is not negotiable”.

Damian also expressed confidence in the Chief Bisi Akande-led reconciliation panel.
