Ocheme prepares cup gift for Udi

Giwa-FCGiwa FC central attacker, Edoh Ocheme, has assured the side’s new technical adviser, Duke Udi, of a deserving Federation Cup welcome gift against the Nigeria National League (NNL) side, ABS.
The Glo Premier League newcomers will clash with the llorin-based side in the Federation Cup round of 64 in Minna, Niger state tomorrow.

Ocheme said his side wanted to use the encounter against ABS to make a bold statement of their intention to contest for the podium dance of the nation’s oldest football competition.
“We want to give our new technical adviser, Duke Udi, a deserving welcome gift and none would be more refreshing than a convincing Federation Cup win over no mean opposition as ABS.
“Though ABS ply their trade in the lower league they’re not a small side and will surely come all out to prove their mettle.
“However, they’re sure to meet a brick as we’ve resolved to win the encounter and progress to the round of 32 en route to the final.

“We’re preparing very hard not to encounter any hitch as the Federation Cup does not offer one a second chance; it’s a winner-takes-all clash.
“So nothing but victory against ABS on Wednesday will be satisfactory to us and our teeming supporters.
“We’ve made up our minds not to add to the numbers but actually go ahead to contest for the title.
“I am confident with the quality of players in our fold as well as sound technical bench we’ll be able achieve our goal in this year’s Federation Cup competition,” said the former Crown FC goal king to supersport.com.
