O’dua Investment Company gets new CEO

Former PZ Cussons Nigeria group managing director (distribution services), Mr Adewale Raji, has been named as the new group managing director/chief executive officer of Odu’a Investment Company Limited.
Raji’s appointment followed the voluntary retirement of Dr Adebayo Jimoh as the group managing director/CEO of Odu’a Investment Company Limited.

According issued by the company in Ibadan yesterday by the head of corporate affairs, Mr. Victor Ayetoro, the new GMD is expected to assume office on June 2, 2014.
The new helmsman of the Odua Group who hails from Ogun state was selected by an eliminatiobn process conducted by KPMG Advisory Services,
The stament said that Mr Raji is expected on assumption to embark on a working visit to all Odu’a Subsidiaries and the Associated Companies as well as holding meeting with stakeholders before the outgoing group managing director finally bows out.

Mr Raji  graduated from the University of Jos in 1985 with a first degree in History and was in the pioneer MBA class of Lagos State University (LASUMBA) that graduated in 1997 with specialization in Marketing.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Logistic Management (FILM) and has attended a number of Executive Management Training Courses locally at NIM, LBS, Poise and UNILAG and internationally at Cranfield and Manchester Universities.

He started his career with the then PZ Industries Ltd, as a management trainee in January 1987 with various responsibilities in administration, factory services and procurement. He was elevated to the position of central purchasing department manager in 1998.  In 2003, he had a brief stint with Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria Limited as planning procurement & logistics manager, but was recalled back by PZ within the same year based on his track record of performance.

On return and rose from depot services controller in November 2003 to become the director of distribution services, in June 2005 and was appointed into the executive board of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc Group in 2006. Mr. Raji is happily married with children.
