Odubu to distribute sanitisers for drivers, others

As part of efforts to compliment the state and federal government efforts in curbing the spread of coronavirus, a former deputy governor in Edo state, Dr. Pius Odudu, has procured huge quantities of hand sanitisers for onward distribution to residents.

Odubu said the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines indicate that  “the frequent  application of hand sanitisers in the absence of soap and water for the washing of hands is a major effort  for the curtailment of the virus.”

A statement signed by Henry Idahagbon on behalf of the Odubu Campaign Organisation, said the ex-deputy governor said the sanitisers will be distributed to all the major health care providers and   market women.

Others to benefit according to him include: commercial drivers,  the Hausa , Yoruba, Igbo communities and  members of the public throughout the entire eighteen local government areas of the state.

The organisation said: “It is our hope that these efforts will go a long way in helping to curtail the spread of the virus in our dear state.

“May God Almighty continue to protect our people and direct the scientists all over the world to finding the cure or the appropriate vaccine for this pandemic sooner than later.”
