Of senators and Nigeria’s unity

Since the emergence of the third republic, there has never been a toothless Senate chamber like what we witnessed from 2015 – date. Naturally, one has to respect the wisdom that necessitated the combination of these honourable men and women that emerged at that respectable chamber from that date to this very chaotic time all Nigerians are facing due to the nefarious desire by that rather Julius Caesar Senate as played at the theatre of Williams Shakespeare!
I wonder, since the very day these gentlemen were elected, there have been nothing tangible from the men whom we really depend on to rescue our prestige and the dignity as well as our reputation. From day one, senators from APC had been going against the political decorum, whereby they fight each other from the very party that brought them into limelight: that man “Wanchanenka,” nicknamed as “Buhun Kusa”. Really APC is a party being formed by about three regional parties, that is to say, CPC, ANPP and ACN, with rebel faction of the PDP. I can say so sincerely, that three APC Senators from Kano are the bedrock upon which the APC has successfully gained momentum and therefore succeeded to have won elections throughout the federation. I say that because two senators were from ANPP and one from PDP, that can be corrected if I humbly erred. There is no need to call their names one after the other, but the reader may guise – who are these gentlemen who by this time we hear them talked about one Senator from Bauchi by name Senator Misau a former Police Officer, who blindly blame the establishment that has made him a man of prominence and hustled him to a now new limelight by which he is known as the most vocal Senator after Dino Meleye!
Senator Misau, having been a police officer and now senator, should have decorum and respect the establishment which all civilized people respect. But just because of his mundane desire, he sought to disgrace the police force, thereby getting many Nigerians disturbed. This rather chocolate former police officer, now senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has to poke his nose on the political happenings of Kano state, accusing the police and the state government regarding Senator Kwankwaso’s visit to Kano state, his home state.
As a police officer and now senator, what contributions has he made to the Senate, regarding the recent killings by herdsmen and others in some parts of Northern Nigeria? Did he truly believe that it was/is the Fulani herdsmen’s atrocities or a third party? What contribution has the noble Senator Misau made to remedy the situation in Bauchi with regards to kidnapping and the “Yan Sara Suka” have been causing mayhem all along in Bauchi state?
The Kano problem is for Kano people to solve. I call upon the whole Senate Chamber to get a very powerful committee to investigate the Ile-Ife massacre on Hausa/Fulani sometimes ago and subsequently fish out those responsible for the killings of Fulani at Mambila, Taraba state. They should also get senators who truly are not afraid or will show favouritism to go to Bauchi to know why there is a political feud between Speaker Dogara and the state governor. Then they should go to Katsina to find out why Governor Masari is fighting the tiger fight with the APC stakeholders?
To avoid bloodshed in Kano, Kwankwaso was advised to stay put there at the boarder of sanity, as he is regarded as an honourable man. The Cicero now at Senate Chamber does not mean good for the good people of Kano state by trying to fuel the embers of hatred among the nice people of Kano state. A stitch in time saves nine.
