Ogbomoso seminary harps on quality training for Baptist faithful

The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso has extolled Baptist faithful to strive for quality training in order to impact better on the body of Christ.

The theological institute made the stand-point while receiving new students for training programme for pastors in the next four years.

Speaking at the send-forth programme organised for one of the participants, Mr. Gyunka Aruwa Elisha of Emmanuel Baptist Church Sabon-Gida, Kokona I Baptist Association under the Benue/Nasarawa Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, pastor of the church, Rev. Sheu Lanjo charged the delegates to evangelise, motivate and edify the body of Christ in his training programme as that is the only way God will see him through.

In his sermon, Hon. Danlami of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), emphasised that God created man solely for service and prayed God to see Elisha through the rigours of training at the seminary.

Giving praise to God on behalf of the family, Senator Philip Aruwa Gyunka said, “God is raising saints in Sabo-Gida and Elisha needs prayers to survive from the divine message he received for his calling.”

Responding, Elisha Aruwa Gyunka thanked all and sundry who attended the occasion and promised to give his best at all time to the body of Christ, Sabo- Gida and the entire Nasarawa state in general.

Present at the occasion were friends and well-wishers, including Dr. David Tama of Religious Studies Department, Nasarawa State University, Keffi; Dr. Deacon Jacob Oyaa, Victor Akao and the National Youth Chairman, Kokona chapter among others.
