OGSG, remember Peter Road, Alagbado

During his eight years tenure as governor in Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun concentrated on making the state capital Abeokuta a mega city with little infrastructure in other parts of the state but Ope–Ilu and Agbado in Ifo local government were left in situ.

And now, the on-going railway construction has completely masked out Rafco, Ope–Ilu and Agbado. All access roads were blocked resulting to economic marginalisation of the inhabitants of these areas.

Peter Road is located off Ope–Ilu and unlike other roads is not under high tension cables. It is the major link from Adiyan to Rafco along Ijoko Road now under construction. This road is about 500 metres long and cut across about six communities in the area.

If tarred, it will alleviate the suffering of the people going to Agbado market and railway station for economic activities. Drainage constructed on communal effort has been washed away and situation may be worse if this clarion call is unheeded.
