Ogun: ASCSN boss advocates return to Western Nigeria IGR model

The chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) in Ogun state, Comrade Olude Isa, has advocated for a return to the old Western Nigeria Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) model for the South Western states.

Isa stated this at the 4th Annual General meeting of the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ASCSN), held at the Oba’s Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Represented by his secretary, Oluwasegun Adebiyi, he noted that generation of wealth via key areas and agencies such as agriculture could well be applied to revive the policy of self funded public organisations.

Isa said balancing the equation is absolutely essential in order to ensure the seamless functioning and relevance of the south western state governments.

“As it were, the defunct Western Nigerian model of generation of wealth via key area and agency such as agriculture could well be applied to revive the policy of self funded public organisations.

“It can only get better with the system, should we return to the model towards improving revenue generation,” he added.
