Ogunjobi’s death leaves a huge vacuum in Nigeria football- Maigari

Former President of Nigeria Football Federation Aminu Maigari has described the demise of football icon and an astute administrator Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi as a huge vacuum in our football which will take a long time to fill due to his sudden departure.

He said the Osun State F.A Chairman was an upright and sincere football manager who piloted the qualification of Super Eagles 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa for the first time in Africa soil as the NFF technical committee chairman.

When he was the Secretary-General of NFF  he brought in financial discipline in the system and ensure that players and officials got their entitlements as at when due in all the national teams.

“His exit has left a big gap in our football especially now that football in Nigeria is on the watch list of football community. “Soul Inspirator” as fondly called would be remembered for his contributions towards the development of the round leather game in Nigeria both at the national and state level. I sincerely hope that his legacy and believes will live on for the upcoming football administrators to emulate” Maigari concluded
