Oh dear Kaduna in a half and half fix!

Like Kano, in Kaduna no one can beat his chest claiming to be the son of the soil, because of its significance and history. Kaduna is volatile because of its highly and the sophisticated elite who are known to be highly educated with significant contributions to humanity. Kaduna was the headquarters of the North with vast land and revered emirates from the old Sokoto kingdom with the sultan as the arrowhead making life well fortified. So, even now Kaduna is still considered a home for northerners and Nigerians in general.

Kaduna has been governed by both military and the civilian; the most noted among those that had governed it was perhaps Usman Jibrin; he was the one that fought for the survival of both Radio Kaduna and the New Nigerian newspapers which the Obasanjo administration tried to destroy because the duo were the voice of the North. The then military Governor Usman Jibrin had tendered his resignation letter over this evil project by Obasanjo. Well, this was the man of the people who championed justice.

There was also the vocal military governor Umar Kangiwa. He was a nice military man who ruled Kaduna state perhaps with iron hand being military but he did his best. Others were Late Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, Malam Ramalan Yero and Namadi Sambo who became the vice president of Nigeria with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as president. These three were all distinguished personalities that governed Kaduna state with purpose, if there were complaints they were minimal.

Sambo was accused by self-acclaimed only educated person, El-Rufai, of wrong doings especially about his promise to provide portable water to Zaria and environs. But now Sambo, the same person that El-Rufai derided, has just been called a saint! Now the Kaduna state governor wants people to thank him because be bulldozed innocent people’s belongings and dismissing large number of people from their work place where they look after their families and tortured them physically, and even their benefits are denied. And when a co-traveler complained bitterly such a person was said to be not the true indigene of Kaduna state asking him to first of all concentrate on his own original state.

Nigeria is for all of us and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not state that a person from another state should not speak about the injustice done to a fellow human being. Kaduna state people are victimized but the majesty of Kaduna state does not need anyone to advice him even other governors from his own party. How can governors that were voted by the masses dare to emulate Mallam. El-Rufa’i? Never.

Kim Jong Li once said: “The popular masses have an age long desire to enjoy an independent and creative life to the full in a society which is free from exploitation and oppression. The political system is the built-in mechanism that prevents the government elected from exploiting individuals, sons of the soil, so, each and every elected officer that tries to destroy human beings through the exploitative means should be told frankly, he is destroying his party. The people that complain could not necessarily be his foes but friends outside his domain”.

It is time El-Rufa’i rescinded his being adamant because he is a human being surrounded by what we call Aljannar Duniya.
