Ohuabunwa cries out over missing tendered documents, slams Kalu’s Ruga comment

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has cried over alleged misplacement of sensitive documents duly tendered before the National Assembly Election petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia.

The documents were allegedly said to be missing, Monday, a development the senator said was not a good reflection on those responsible for keeping custody of such documents.

Also, the senator has taken a swipe at Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s comment that he created Ruga Settlement in the Abia state, describing it as a sham.

He said Kalu’s comment has not made a stooge of elements held bent on dominating other Nigerians but has reduced his representation of Abia North senatorial district to a cariture.

Senator Ohuabunwa said Abia North has become a caricature with the kind of Kalu’s representation when compared to the distinguished Senators like Senator Ike Nwachukwu, Late Senator Uche Chukwumereije, and his humble self that represented the zone in the red chambers in the past.

The senator revealed this Tuesday at a federal high court premises shortly after the court adjourned his petition against the APC Senator pending before the election petitions tribunal sitting in Umuahia.

He lamented the poor quality of representation of the respected zone in the Senate, assuring though that it is a just for a short while as he hopes to reclaim his mandate at the ongoing tribunal.

Meanwhile, speaking on the missing documents, he said whatever ploy was deployed by his foes against the mandate freely given to him would amount to naught, noting that no matter how long it takes Justice must surely prevails.

He dismissed so-called evidences adduced by his opponents stressing the number of accredited voters differs with the registered voters in respective polling units, alleging that theirs were clearly ‘cooked results’.

He maintained that tribunal cases is about tendering evidences arguing that there is no way the number of accredited voters would differ from the ones at the polling units

“We have taken adjournment, I am confident at the end of the day, the truth will expose their liars,” Ohuabunwa said.

Meanwhile, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was not in court for his comments and none of his media team could be reached as at the time of sending this report.
