Okehi boss absolves from Ihima crisis

Administrator of Okehi local government area of Kogi state Abdulraheem Ohiare has absolved himself from the crisis that recently rocked Ihima community.

He sated this on Friday at Obangede, Okehi LGA while reacting to an allegation by a traditional ruler from Ihima district, His Royal Highness, the Obobanyi of Emani, Chief Samuel Adai Onimisi, that he was fuelling crisis in the district.

Ohiare who expressed surprise over the monarch’s allegation and publications, said that rather than blaming him for the sins he did not commit, the royal father should accept guilt for his inability to call his Emani people to order.

The administrator, who traced the causes of the recent crisis to heated political activities by a Social Democratic Party senatorial candidate who hails from Emani clan, regretted that despite the various patronages to the clan by the present administration, the gesture was never reciprocated.

He called on Emani youth involved in the crisis and Ihima district in general to embrace peace and continue to live in harmony with one another.

He called on the people of the area to shun vices that “can pose threat” to the conduct of the Saturday’s elections.
