Okiro hails FCTA’s devt strides

Chairman, Police Service Commission, Dr. Mike Okiro, has commended the development strides of the present Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Speaking, on Tuesday, during a courtesy call on the Minister of FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed, Okiro commended the administration for “performing very well, particularly in the area of infrastructure.”

He thanked the minister for making things very easy for the commission.
According to him, since the minister’s assumption of office, Abuja has been a safe haven for all because there has been no security issue.
“We can see the landmarks. You have done very well to make Abuja heaven for everyone,” he said.

The Police Service Commission boss, who said he had lead the board members to the minister’s office to identify with his good works in the territory, stressed that he was impressed by the recent carnival organised by the FCT.
In his remarks, Mohammed commended the Commission for “doing so well in boosting the morale of police officers.”
He said the police had done so well in ensuring security of the territory, and commended the IGP for supporting security agencies in the FCT to carry out their duties effectively.
