Old students delibrate over state of Kwara govt technical college

Old Students of Government Technical College, Ogidi in Kwara state has decried the level of infrastructural decay of their alma mater even as they urged all old students to work towards  infrastructural development of the school.

The old students expressed their concern for their alma mater at a formal inauguration of their association and annual get together held in Ilorin weekend.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for a reunion of old school mates who have lost touch with each others for several years.

During the meeting, the old students threw banters and recalled the nick names they called themselves during their school days.

Speakers after speaker at the get together welcomed the development and agreed to promote the cause of members and plough back to their alma matter.

Secretary of the association, Ahmed Shehu, who spoke with Blueprint said ,the inauguration of the old students association,was a major step towards bringing the old students together to give back to their alma mater and as well advanced the cause of individuals.

He said, “the state of infrastructures of the school is not encouraging. Government has abandoned the school ,so we want to see how we can play our own role to the development of our alma mater.”
