Omission: PDM rejects Bauchi governorship election

The Bauchi State governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) Alhaji Ahmed Iliyasu has rejected the governorship election results in the state over omission of his party on ballot papers.

Speaking with newsmen on Monday in Bauchi, Iliyasu said his party was duly registered and made necessary arrangements to participate in the 2019 general election but that it was ommitted by the Independent National Electoral Commission on ballot papers.

” After complying with INEC’s time table, the party fielded candidates by conducting free, fair and credible primary elections which was supervised and certified by INEC and security agencies “
” Names of successful candidates were officially forwarded to the headquarters of INEC in Abuja as the procedure provides. To our dismay,  disbelief and bewilderment, names of all our candidates who won the primaries were missing in INEC records”. He lamented.

The governorship candidate vowed to challenge the matter at thebtribunal to demand justice and appealed to the party supporters to remain calm and law abiding.
