On clamour for ‘referendum’

Nigeria’s governmental practice does not allow provision for referendum because Nigerians have elected representatives at both legislative houses to speak out for them. A referendum would be a duplication (I think it’s funny) of that purpose and wastage of public funds. Nigeria should not copy, blindly, what some countries do. What to do is for anybody who desires a change in the status-quo to sponsor a bill to the National Assembly to that eff ect, or recall a representative who refuses to do what is desired.
