Onazi dedicates Serie A goal to Nyanya terror victims

Nigerian midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, has dedicated his goal in Sunday’s 2 – 4 loss to Napoli to the victims of the explosions in the country’s capital Abuja yesterday.
The blasts occurred at a bus station in Nyanya, on the outskirts of the Federal Capital Territory, reportedly killing more than 70 people.
Onazi, a social media savvy player, dedicated his first-ever Serie A goal for Lazio to the victims of the terror attack.
“I dedicate my goal to the victims of the explosion that happened this morning,” Onazi wrote on his Twitter account.
“I hope by the grace of God the families have the strength needed to manage everything,” the Lazio midfielder concluded.
Many of the victims of the explosion were headed to work early in Abuja when the incident occurred.

Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned the perpetrators of the act and urged citizens to be vigilant as the government attempted to find an end to increasing bloodletting in the country.
“I believe that if people become more observant and conscious by the movement of the people we will be able to reduce some of these attacks; our dear country will continue to work hard, God willing, we will get over it,” the President said.
