Onazi eyes Liverpool move

Nigeria international midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi says he has “always wanted to play in England” and will not turn down a chance to join 18-time English league champions, Liverpool.
Liverpool have always been great admirers of the 21-yaer-old Nigerian and made a move to secure his services in January.
The deal however broke down with both parties failing to agree on personal terms but Onazi has now stressed that he has not given up hopes of turning out for the Merseyside club in future.
“Ofcourse (I will say yes) if Liverpool comes for me. They are a great club and I have always wanted to play in England,” Onazi exclusively told supersport.com.

Onazi has made just four starts for SS Lazio in Serie A this term fuelling speculations that he may be on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico as early as January.
The midfielder is however not looking too far ahead and says any talk about him leaving Lazio may be wide off the mark as “it’s a very complicated issue”.

“The (2014/15) is still on now and the transfer window is yet to be opened.
“There will be a lot of offers from everywhere but it depends. It’s a very complicated issue,” he said.
The former El Kanemi Warriors youth teamer made 29 league appearances for the Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) last season but has found first team opportunities a lot more difficult to come by this term.
Onazi has made just eight league appearances for SS Lazio (amounting to 406 minutes of action) this season.
