Ondo 2020: I’ll unseat Akeredolu – Kekemeke

The former chairman of The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Hon Isaacs Kekemeke has indicated his intentions to unseat the present governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, and put the state on the path of greatness.

Kekemeke, speaking in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said the APC is a party that cannot be defeated at an election in the state, based on solid foundation that have been laid by the founders of the party.

According to him, his interest at unseating the present governor was hinged on facts that the Akeredolu- led administration in the state failed to run an inclusive government, but a secluded administration that fails to be encompassing all sections of the party members as an entity.

“Akeredolu did not run inclusive government, but secluded administration, so I am set to unseat the incumbent governor come October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state”.

Further, Kekemeke who was also the secretary reconciliatory committee set-up by the national body of the party to look at ways of unity all groups and members of the party in the state and ensure success in the forthcoming election.

He said there is no crisis in the party in the state, but various groups within the party that have divergent opinion need to be harmonised.

“APC is not having crisis in Ondo state as you can all see, we are not using matchets or cudgels to fight ourselves, only that we have various groups that need to get their interests be harmonised together and be in unity”.

While he appeals to leaders of the party in the state not to make statement that will incite national leadership of the party and such that at same time make the party to collapse, noting the efforts put in place to build the party.

Kekemeke who  enumerates his plans at repositioning the state to a greater feats if in office as the Governor, includes free and compulsory primary and secondary education for all school ages, subsidised tertiary education, provision of quality health care service delivery, priotisation of the agricultural sector.
