The Promoters of One Nigeria (PRONIG), a pan-Nigerian group dedicated to promoting peace and unity in Nigeria, has elected new executive to pilot the organisation’s affairs.

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Iroka Chibueze Chamberlain, stated that the newly elected excos are men of repute with strong commitment to upholding the ideals of One Nigeria.

“At the extraordinary general meeting of the association, Dr Tega Edache, was elected Chairman of PRONIG, alongside other executive to lead the organisation’s affairs in achieving the strategic mandate of initiating causes that unite Nigerians from all walks of life.

“PRONIG as an organisation recognises the importance of mutual coexistence amongst the various religious and ethnic groups in the country, hence the resolve to continue to preach the message of religious and ethnic tolerance.”

Iroka further added that the new executive consisting of distinguished Nigerians have come on board with a pledge to ensure that those values that unite Nigerians are promoted through effective channels to achieve the overarching objective of One Nigeria for all.

“Over the years, we have proactively engaged citizens through town hall meetings and in charitable endeavours that have been beneficial to the less privileged in the society, and we are committed to these ideals because that is what we stand for,” he stated.

In his remarks, the outgone chairman, Mr. Micheal Bunuju, thanked members for the unique opportunity to serve them.

He charged other members to extend their cooperation to the new executive.
