Only govs who can’t measure up with PDP standard defect to APC – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has congratulated the people of Adamawa state for making the right choice in 2019 elections by voting Ahmadu Fintiri as their governor.

Makinde stressed that in PDP, people believe in infrastructure and development and that only PDP governors who could not measure up with performing standard of the party defect to APC.

He stated this on Wednesday while commissioning some township road projects in Yola, as part of activities marking Fintiri’s two years in office.

“From what I observed, his Excellency has been working so hard for the people of Adamawa state, our governors mean business, we believe in infrastructure and development while those who can’t keep up with our work rate often go back to APC. You know what they do in the other side? They offer excuses and shed tears.”

“We know that they will shed more tears in 2023; I’m happy to be here with you today for the commissioning of these road projects in Jimeta. While we commission these projects, it is evidence that the governor is working and the people are enjoying the benefits of good governance. So let me congratulate the people of Adamawa state for making the right choice in 2019 and their willingness to continu

e with the choice in 2023,” he said.

On his part, Fintiri said his administration’s decision to embark on this project was in line with his campaign promises to change the face of development of the state capital and other major towns in the state.

According to him, it was in a bid to uplift the living standard of the people and provide enabling environment that would attract investors that would help unlock the economic potentials that abound in the state.

He further noted that being the window to the outside, investing heavily in urban renewal of the state capital could not be said to be a misplaced priority but a deliberate plan that would benefit the current and the future generations of the state.

He assured that his administration was committed to bringing to an end the perennial water shortages in Jimeta and its attendant consequences.

He added that the ongoing 1000 housing estate embarked upon by his administration was aimed at reducing housing deficit, stressing that he has succeeded to change the security situation of the state and brought the dreadful boys terrorising the people to their knees.
