Operation Kungama: Stay away, Army warns natives in Kaduna, Kano communities

The Nigerian Army has warned natives of Falgore and Saminaka in Kano and Kaduna state respectively to move from danger as joint troops of Carder short Service Course 44 and Recruits of 79 Regular Recruit intake will hold Exercise Kungama, an operation signifying preparation for end of their training.

This was contained in a statement by Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Depot, Nigerian Army, Captain Audu Arigu.

The statement said the exercise would hold between May 6 and May 20, 2020 at Falgore forest base camp along Tudun Wada- Falgore- Saminaka road.

The statement warned residents and neighbouring villagers not panic upon hearing sounds of gun shots as the exercise would involve firing of live ammunition using small fire arms and artillery guns with safety precautions assured in a bid to ensure safe and hitch free exercise.

“The exercise will involve firing of live ammunition using small fire arms and Artillery Guns but precautionary measure have been taken against any misfortune,” the statement said.

It further advised natives and residents to go about their normal activities without any form of panic.
