In a major push to help Oracle Partners drive cloud adoption across Africa, Oracle Partner Network (OPN) has hosted its Africa Partner Day in Nigeria.
The event focused on presenting new resources and initiatives for partners to create innovative digital transformation strategies for organizations across the
“Oracle Partner Day is the foundation to building a better future with our partners. Our aim is to drive united African growth that will result in shifts towards globally relevant intellectual property arising from our continent while remaining locally relevant,” says Stefan Diedericks, Alliances and Channel Director, Oracle Africa.
During the Partner Day event in Nigeria, Oracle introduced new OPN enablement resources including the Cloud Excellence Implementer (CEI) program. The new program helps customers make a smooth transition to the cloud through Oracle implementation partners. The program recognises and rewards those partners who have invested in building their Oracle Cloud expertise and demonstrate a proven track record for delivering high quality cloud implementation projects across Oracle’s customer base.
With the CEI distinction, partners that work with Oracle to implement Oracle Cloud around the globe will be able to further differentiate themselves in the marketplace, and benefit from increased enablement and go-to-market support from Oracle. In tandem, customers will be able to more easily identify partners with the specific expertise and proven track record they need to successfully navigate their transition to the cloud. The CEI program is available to OPN members now and will initially focus on implementations for Oracle Cloud Applications (Software-as-a-Service).
Africa’s advancement in digitisation and the growing need to create a skilled workforce drives Oracle’s partner strategy forward. Diedericks explains that Oracle is on a radical journey in driving global cloud adoption, inspiring partners to invest in economic and skills development by positioning and prioritising the creation of solutions built on the Oracle Cloud Platform. “This gives customers new innovative ways to engage with their citizens, customers, suppliers and consumers via Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Learning, Machine Learning and Blockchain technologies.”
