Aside Aidoko/ Alfa’s legal tango over Kogi East Senatorial seat, other issues that may be addressed frontally by the Senate on resumption today and by extension, the House of Representatives this week are the orgies of killings in the land and the alleged padding of the N9 13 trillion, 2018 budget through insertion of 6, 403 new projects totalling N578billion.
While the face-off between the Presidency and the National Assembly over alleged insertions into the budget may not be on the front burner of debate today, having jointly officially reacted to the allegations, that of wanton killings particularly the recent one that happened in Plateau State where over 200 lives were lost and several villages destroyed, would surely be debated via motions to be sponsored to that effect.
