Orji assures of massive reform in education sector

Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, last week commissioned a multi-classroom Ultra Modern School building at Ogbo Central School, Avonipupe Ubakala, with an assurance that his administration will give the educational sector a massive sense of belonging to ensure it competes favorably with those outside the state.
The structure was powered by the Local Government Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).

Orji said his administration embarked on the building and renovation of modern schools in the state to provide a conducive environment for the purpose of teaching and learning.
According to him, his administration is repositioning the states’ educational sector through the provision of free buses and tuition for pupils and students in the state.

He reassured that the state government will also not relent in providing conducive environment for teaching and learning in the state.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman, SURE-P in the state, Chief Joseph Ogwo said that in addition to the school, SURE-P has constructed 100 bed hospitals in nine (9) LGAs of the state.
