Osimhen agrees to join Napoli for N1.7b annual salary

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has agreed to a summer move to Italian Serie A side, Napoli, from French side Lille for €4 million euros ( over N 1.7bn) annual salary apart from bonuses.

The 21-year-old according to report will put pen to paper for a five year deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s side anytime from now.

It has now appeared that the Naples outfit have won the race for the striker who has been tipped to join either Tottenham or Liverpool in the English Premier League.

Lille president Gerard Lopez confirmed a few days ago that the club received several offers, but will only do business for the right money.

“There are multiple offers,’ Lopez told Sportsmail.

Meanwhile, transfer news expert, Nicolo Shira, claims Lille are not ready to entertain offers below €60m for the attacker.

”Lille ask €60M to sell Victor Oshimen. Napoli are really interested in him. The Nigerian striker wants a 5-years contract with wages of €4M a year,”Schira wrote on his Twitter handle.

There are also reports that Lille are planning to lower the asking price to 45 Euro million.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal winner moved to France last year from Belgian Pro League club Sporting Charleroi.

Osimhen joined Lille from Charleroi in a  ten million pounds deal last summer to sign the player last season as a replacement for Ivorian international Nikolas Pepe who departed from Arsenal for 72 million pounds.

Osimhen enjoyed impressive debut season for the Christopher Galtier’s men, scoring 18 goals in 30 appearances and was named Club’s player of the season.
