A Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state capital, yesterday, remanded a 22-year-old man, Idris Adebisi, for allegedly stealing cable wires.
The accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of felony, to wit, stealing and theft. He pleaded guilty to the first charge and not guilty to the second charge.
The prosecutor, Mr. Rasaq Olayiwola, said the accused committed the alleged offence on 28th of October, 2017 at about 11:39pm at Ago Ayo area, Osogbo.
According to the charge sheet obtained by our correspondent, the alleged offence contradicts sections 411 and 390(6) of the criminal code cap 34 vol 11, laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
Magistrate Aisha Oloyade however ordered that the accused be remanded
in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case to November 4, 2017.
