Osun indigenes in 19 northern states endorse Omisore

A coalition of Association of Osun State Indigenes in 19 northern states of Nigeria has adopted Senator Iyiola Omisore as governorship candidate for Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The leader of the association, Chief Abdulrasheed Olaide who led a delegate of over 50 members of the association to the National Secretariat of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) yesterday in Abuja was received by the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Dr.
Abdul Isiaq, National Secretary, Alhaji Shehu Gabam and National Organising Secretary, Rt.
Hon Emeka Atuma.
Olaide said the coalition of indigenes came to the conclusion after assessing all the governorship aspirants and their political parties in the state.
Olaide said the association arrived at the conclusion after a committee set up by the group to assess the aspirants and their political parties submitted the reports that favoured Senator Omisore as the most credible and experienced candidate.
According to the group, “Senator Omisore is the only candidate who has the capacity to revive the shattered economy of the state within a short time having being a deputy governor and a senator in charge of appropriation in the National Assembly.
The also described Omisore as a successful businessman which they said further suggested that he is better placed with experience and capacity to revive the already battered economy of Osun state.” The group said it also observed that Omisore is the only candidate that is not sponsored and without any God father, who may be interfering with and teleguiding the function of the governor after victory
